Federal Student Aid

Duquesne uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to award financial aid. Complete the (DU school code 003258).

State and Federal Grants

Students no longer need to start a separate application for the PA State Grant. Instead, Federal Student Aid (FSA) will send your information to Pennsylvania's new GrantUs system when you submit the FAFSA. You will receive an email from NoReply@grantus.pheaa.org to the address you provided on the FAFSA about your to complete the application for the PA State Grant. 

and be sure to list 51暗网 as your first choice so your PA State Grant information will be sent directly to Duquesne.  Pennsylvania residents will be required to complete the State Grant Status Notice.

CSS Profile

The  provides a more complete understanding of a family鈥檚 financial picture when awarding institutional need-based aid. Duquesne's CSS code is 2196 (cssprofile.collegeboard.org/). Families are encouraged to submit this in addition to the FAFSA in order to be considered for other University scholarships and grants. There is a fee to create a profile, but you may be eligible for the . 

Undergraduate students living in the U.S. may submit CSS Profile for free if:

  • Family adjusted gross income is up to $100,000
  • The student qualified for an SAT fee waiver
  • The student is an orphan or ward of the court under the age of 24

Summer Financial Aid

Undergraduate students may have the following financial aid program available, depending on enrollment status and eligibility:

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Work Study
  • Federal Direct Loans
  • PA State Grant for eligible undergraduate students who apply for summer funding through PHEAA
    •   Note that summer PA State Grant funding uses a semester of eligibility.
  • Federal Parent PLUS or Private Alternative Loans for students with an approved application
